Wine Thoughts
White:  Although I would not recommend white wine with this meal Santa Marina Pinot Grigio 2012 is a crisp wine with nice flavor. 

Red:  Fonterutoli 2010 Mazzei Badiola Toscana.  We visited this vineyard in Tuscany and whenever I see wine from Fonterutoli, I buy it.  It brings back great memories and is a wonderful accompanies pasta beautifully.  

 Shopping List
PRODUCE
2 bunches swiss chard
1 head garlic
1 bunch basil
1/2 lb red grapes and 1/2 lb green grapes

DAIRY
8 oz parmigiano reggiano
1 lb fontina cheese
butter

GROCERY
extra virgin olive oil
8 oz halved walnuts
1 lb spaghetti


Organization and Other Thoughts

  • Check your pantry.  Do you already have garlic, extra virgin olive oil, butter, spaghetti?
  • This is a very simple meal.  Those are all the organizational thoughts I have.  Other than don't skimp on the parmigiano reggiano or the extra virgin olive oil.  Buy the good stuff.
