The Week is Half Over Let's Celebrate!

Wine Thoughts

Red:  You know what I'm going to tell you ... drink pinot noir with salmon.  So Testarossa Pinot Noir Monterey County 2012 was on sale at the wine store and I decided to try it.  Really great complement for food.  At first I experienced cherry and licorice on the nose and then abundant fruit in the flavor -- very balanced and silky feel.

Organization and Other Thoughts

  • Check your pantry.  Do you already have: extra virgin olive oil, a head of garlic, chicken broth
  • We have been using the Colavita extra virgin olive oil and think it is very good.
  • If your grocery store doesn't have creme fraiche you can substitute heavy cream, or whole milk greek yogurt
