The Week is Half Over Let's Celebrate!
White: Aviary Chardonnay 2012. This is just a great food wine for chardonnay lovers. I was pleasantly surprised at the subtle oak of this wine. I experience apple and pear at first and then a bright crispness at the end. It's rich yet balanced and will go great with the chicken.
1 head of garlic
2-3 yukon gold potatoes
1 5 oz container baby lettuces
1 endive bulb
4-6 chicken thighs on the bone
1 8oz container creme fraiche
1 15 oz can vegetable or chicken stock
Extra virgin olive oil
white balsamic vinegar
Organization and Other Thoughts
- Check your pantry. Do you already have: extra virgin olive oil, white balsamic vinegar, a head of garlic?
- We have been using the Colavita extra virgin olive oil and think it is very good.
- If your grocery store doesn't have creme fraiche you can substitute heavy cream
