It's Time for Your Celebration!

Preparing and presenting this dinner is a matter of sequencing.  Very little actual cooking takes place during your Celebration.  It will take 20 minutes for the salmon to cook and you don't want to rush your evening.  When you are both comfortable and enjoying the asparagus sushi rolls (or crudite), set your oven timer for 15 minutes, sit down and relax.

When the oven timer goes off, put the salmon in the oven and set it again for 20 minutes.

Sweet and Sour Pickeled Cucumber
Remove the martini glasses and the small plate from the place settings.  Spoon the cucumber into the martini glasses and place them in the refrigerator.

Prepare the Thai Sesame Noodles

  • the cooked spaghetti
Check to see if it is sticking together.  If it is put it in a collander pour a cup of cold water over it and separate the strands.  Shake the collander to drain off as much water as possible and pour the spaghetti into a bowl large enough to toss it with the sauce.
  • 3/4 cup Thai peanut sauce
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
Whisk together in a separate bowl until thoroughly combined.  Pour over the spaghetti and toss gently.
  • cilantro
Chop coursely and set aside with the chopped peanuts.

When the oven timer goes off, immediately remove the salmon from the oven.

Take the martini glasses from the refrigerator, place them on the smaller plates at the top or the right of the knife at each place setting.

Pick up the chargers and dinner plates, put the chargers out of the way if you are not going to use them.

Very carefully open the aluminum foil pouches.  Fold the sides of the aluminum foil to expose the salmon and place on one side of each dinner plate.  Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top of each fillet

Spoon the Thai sesame noodles onto each plate, sprinkle chopped peanuts and chopped cilantro on top of the noodles for garnish.

Pour the wine, toast your beautiful or handsome dinner guest and enjoy your celebration!!

Dessert is a Snap!
A perfect complement to this dinner is your favorite fruit sorbet and chocolate ice cream.  If you have additional martini glasses, serve a scoop of each in the martini glass.
